The temperature hovers around 30 degrees Celsius all year round. The humidity fluctuates between 60 and 95 %.

Bali’s highest peaks are Mount Agung (3,140 m) and Mount Batur (1,717 m), both extinct volcanoes.

In the inner, mountainous area of Bali there are four freshwater lakes of reasonable size: Lake Beratan, Lake Buyan, Lake Tamblingan, and Lake Batur.

2009 Bali was - again - voted “World’s Best Island”. A very interesting blend of tropical landscape, top-of-the-art hotels, a wide range of world-class-restaurants, cultural heritage reaching back for centuries, traditional markets, modern shopping facilities, religious uniqueness, relaxed lifestyle and bustling night-life make this island a top holiday destination.
